The Emerald Amulet is one of Velmora's most sacred relics, a jewel born of ancient magic and bound to the First Line of the Star Court. It was a relic of immense power, capable of rewriting the very stories etched into the fabric of existence, of reshaping identities and histories. And in the hands of those who sought to divide, its power was a terrifying weapon. It shimmers with latent power, a promise and a threat in equal measure. The emerald is a fragment of the original emerald of Velmora; an artifact forged in the heart of Velmora's creation. It chooses its bearers.
Long before Selira Hawthorne ever stepped through a portal, the amulet belonged to Princess Taina, a Fae princess of shadow and starlight whose destiny became entwined with the survival of her realm. Taina stole it from its vault before she fled Velmora into the mortal world. When Lord Valerius unleashed the forbidden curse that shattered Velmora and filled the kingdom with darkness, Taina used the amulet's power to open a portal to the mortal world. Her escape preserved the amulet, protected Velmora's last hope, and began a hidden bloodline that would one day return the kingdom to balance.
Through generations, the Emerald Amulet passed from mother to daughter, carrying with it the memory of Taina's sacrifice and the sleeping magic of Velmora. To the mortal world, it appeared to be only an heirloom necklace, but within its emerald heart lived the pulse of a forgotten kingdom.
When Selira inherited the amulet, her tears awakened its power and opened the path back to Velmora. With the amulet's guidance, Selira discovered her ancient Fae heritage, fulfilled the prophecy tied to her bloodline, and helped break the curse that had imprisoned Velmora in shadow.
By Selira's coronation, the Emerald Amulet had become more than a relic. It was a beacon of remembrance, protection, and restoration. It connected Taina's exile to Selira's rise, the mortal world to the Fae realm, and the lost Star Court to Velmora's rebirth. The amulet's history is a legacy of sacrifice, love, and destiny, proving that even when a kingdom falls into darkness, one surviving light can guide it home again.
