Renvar and Emberlyn are two of the most powerful and emotionally compelling dragon shifters in Velmora's Curse – The Forgotten Flame. Born of dragonfire yet shaped by very different worlds, they represent the fragile bridge between the ancient Dragon Kingdom and the Fae realm of Velmora.
Renvar (Ren), stolen from the Obsidian Mountains as an egg and raised in secret among Fae by Nyxarion (Nyx) and Aelirra (Aely), grows into a young man of quiet strength, copper warmth, emerald eyes, and a soul divided between two destinies. Though he carries the blood of dragons and the power of the Forgotten Flame, his heart is gentle, loyal, and deeply protective. His struggle is not only to master the fire within him, but to understand who he truly is: dragon prince, Fae-raised brother, forbidden love, and living bridge between enemies. He grows to adulthood in just five years and falls totally in love with Aely. They marry and will have a son named Solaris (gold dragon shifter) in Book 11.
Emberlyn (Ember), his fierce sister, is everything Renvar has not yet learned to be: disciplined, battle-tested, proud, and unapologetically dragon. A warrior princess of Ashwing, she enters the story like a wildfire, armed with Void-Iron and driven by love for the brother she believed stolen. Beneath her fury, however, lies fierce loyalty, wounded devotion, and a powerful sense of duty. Where Renvar is the flame learning restraint, Emberlyn is the blade forged by flame.
Together, they embody the beauty and danger of dragonkind: Renvar as the heart that can heal an ancient divide, and Emberlyn as the fire that will defend that heart at any cost. Emberlyn's disdain for Nyx turns to love and they marry and have a son named Noctis (black dragon shifter).
